British and other allied Officers in WW1 protected their legs from the mud with gaiters. This leather is over one hundred years old and it was hard and rigid. We have reconstructed it and used it in these historic keyrings. Using them will remind you of the events in the mud of Passchendaele and the Somme. Remember that these keyring have been cut out leather pieces which are not straight and some bear obvious scars of the conflict. Even the rivets have had to be adjusted to accommodate the different thicknesses of the leather
